Distribution of CUHK Licenses in Different Countries/Regions:
The Global and Local Impact
Licenses of CUHK IP have reached companies from different countries and regions, with highest license number in Hong Kong, US being the 2nd, and China the 3rd.
Amongst patents/inventions licensed to Hong Kong companies in the past five years, 90% have been licensed to start-ups founded by CUHK staff, student/alumni ( 30% to CUHK TSSSU companies), demonstrating the University’s continuous support to the local industry and entrepreneurship development in Hong Kong.
