Description
Luquos Energy focuses on development of advanced battery energy storage technologies. The flow battery developed by Luquos uses water and earth-abundant material for energy storage, which is low-cost, inherently safe, and environmentally friendly. The team developed a new ion-exchange membrane, which effectively reduces cross-over contamination and improves the lifetime of the flow battery to 15 years. The battery can be potentially used in energy storage applications for grid power, renewable power, EV charger and basestations.
